On Thursday the 18th of August and with the help of Arctic Circle Strategic Brand Agency, KWV 20 introduced the brilliance of Jimmy Dludlu to the “who’s who” of the Cape Town social scene.

Hosted by the ever opulent One&Only Cape Town, the event was a celebration of Jimmy’s latest album, Tonata and included a live performance by the man himself. The concept of “Moments with the Maestro” as well as the gift packaging, invites and collateral was completed by Arctic Circle and made for a one of a kind Jazz evening that will be remembered for some time to come.

The concept draws a parallel between Jimmy’s 20 year journey to success and the process of making the exquisite liquid that is KWV 20. The warm, traditional mood of the photograph gives the invite a feeling of authenticity and heritage. The aim was to create a sense of mystery that spills from the page and alludes to the dusty, worn leather origins of Jazz. The subtle use of the KWV 20 bottle positions the brand as the spirit of appreciation. We wanted to leave our audience with a clear message – that if you want to see the legend play, there is only one place to do so.

Throughout the evening guests were caressed by the soulful and smooth sounds of one of Africa’s great guitarists. The packed audience had the chance to rub shoulders with VIP’s and celebrities including the likes of Mayor of Cape Town, Patricia De Lille; Max Modise of KWV as well as their host for the evening, none other than music mogul, Shado Twala. CEO of Arctic Circle Reghard Goussard said of the event, “This evening just goes to show the importance of bringing brands to life in each of the senses of our consumers and we are exceptionally proud to be a part of creating these experiences.”

The first in several KWV activations, Thursday’s event was a huge success and aims to position KWV and Jimmy as the perfect companion to those who appreciate life and the moments along the way.
